In short
Yaffle has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies. Your scores and settings stay in your own browser. When you play with friends, the game server sees only a nickname you choose, a random guest number and your answers, and forgets the room soon after.
Who runs Yaffle
Yaffle is made and run by ENERGIFY Studio (thenergify.com). For anything about this policy or your data, write to contact@energify.com.
What stays in your browser
To remember things between visits, Yaffle keeps a few small entries in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device unless you play online (see below), and you can delete them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
- Settings: language, light or dark theme, sound on or off, button sounds, difficulty and number of rounds.
- Your personal bests in each game, and your online record (wins, losses, ties), counted on this device only.
- For playing online: the nickname you chose and a random guest number, so a room recognises you if you reconnect.
- Two small counters on the contact page (how often you visited, and whether you saw the tip about Gify).
For the length of a visit, the browser also keeps your seat in an online room, so a reload or a short drop does not lose it.
Playing with friends
Rooms are private: only people with the room code or invite link can join. To run a room, Yaffle’s game server (on Cloudflare) receives your nickname, your random guest number and, for each round, your score — for Distance and Curve also your answer, so the server can check it. Nicknames are cleaned of markup and are shown only to the people in your room.
An empty room is deleted after ten minutes, and every room after six hours at most. Seat tokens are never written to logs. To stop too many rooms being created or codes being guessed, the server counts requests per IP address for a short time window; those counts are not stored beyond that window.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect them from abuse, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Yaffle’s fonts are served from Yaffle itself, so no font service sees your visit.
What we do not do
No accounts, no email lists, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no selling or sharing of data. Links to the studio’s website open that site, which has its own policy.
Your choices
You can play without ever going online. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes everything Yaffle stored on your device. If you have a question or a request about your data, write to contact@energify.com and a person will answer.
